We have compiled a list of external resources, which you may find useful. Many of these are official Danish government websites, but not all are.

  • (🇩🇰 only) provides an overview of Danish bureaucracy and is a gateway to various electronic applications for moving, benefits, enrolment, family life, etc.
  • (🇩🇰, 🇫🇮, 🇸🇪, 🇮🇸, 🇳🇴 and 🇬🇧) provides information about life in the Nordic countries, including Denmark.


  • (🇩🇰 and 🇬🇧 only, some pages in 🇩🇪) New to Denmark provides an overview of Danish immigration law, outlined by the Danish Immigration Service and the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI).


  • Sygesikring Danmark: (🇩🇰 only, intro in 🇬🇧) Sygesikring Danmark is a non-profit insurance covering expenses not covered by the national insurance, such as the dentist, psychologist, glasses and other treatments. It also further covers the cost of prescription medicine.
  • (🇩🇰 only, intro in 🇬🇧) is the official portal where you can see your personal healthcare information as a Danish resident. It also contains useful information on various illnesses and healthcare in Denmark at large.
  • (🇩🇰 only) is a portal of over-the-counter and prescription medicine in Denmark. It allows you search by active ingredient or brand name to find relevant medication.


  • (🇬🇧 only) Work in Denmark is a job database and knowledge base on relocating to Denmark for work made by the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment.
  • (🇩🇰 only, intro in 🇬🇧) Jobnet is the official job portal made by the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment.
  • (🇩🇰 and 🇬🇧 only) JobIndex is a large and active privately owned job portal.
  • EURES: (EU languages) EURES is an EU-run job portal for the entire EU.

Language learning

  • LĂŚr dansk: (🇩🇰 and 🇬🇧 only) LĂŚr dansk (Learn Danish) is the official language learning organization in Denmark. They provide physical and online classes for new arrivals wishing to learn Danish. The classes are free for Danish residents.


  • Reddit's /r/Denmark: /r/Denmark is a Reddit community on all things Denmark. People discuss national topics, which may be of interest.
  • Reddit's /r/IWantOut: /r/IWantOut is a Reddit community for asking questions on immigration. You may be able to find answers to specific questions here.
